Questions for a proxy list

Hello,
I'm willing to create a new proxy list (my last one was a success) but not just like all the others.. The stock script is the one you can find here: http://www.atproxy.net

What I want as an extra to that script is:
Speed checker (like on http://tech-faq.com/proxy.shtml & http://centurian.org)
Featured listing option (like on http://proxlists.com)
Country flag (like on http://centurian.org)
Total proxies, total deleted proxies and total hits given (like on http://centurian.org in the menu)

Since I'm not a good programmer (just starting a little bit, but still a rookie) I want to know if this is going to be hard... or not that hard. Normally I'd outsource some stuff to Nathan from O2Programming, but I need money for that first.

What do you programmers think about this? What are the easiest things that I should be able to do with my basic knowledge? Or is it nothing?

Know of any good other (cheaper) programmers too or not?

Behind the scenes, I, the main developer of Tech Noxx, am not some fat old man sitting on his sofa in his underwear operating business at 3am in the morning.

I cycle 6 days a week. I cycle a lot. I cycle around 450km per week. I averaged 38kmph over 50km tonight, racing in at 5th place.

I am a 14 year old, attending Kapiti College, located in Paraparaumu, Wellington, New Zealand. I sat a Year 13 Web Design course earlier this year. I did not get to finish it (not due to incapability, due to other compulsory school-related involvement). I completed 1/3 of the course in less than 1/8 of the year. I will be resitting the course (which will not be interrupted) next year. I am also going to be sitting a Year 11 Maths exam, in a few weeks time. I am currently in Year 9.

I like things to happen. I like things to get done. I like things to get done properly. I see no reason why school should seem like a chore for 5 years. I see no reason why I should attend school, if I am not being challenged. I make my best attempts to undertake any challenges that are thrown my way.

I have an enjoyment and passion for both listening to and playing music (no, that doesn't mean hitting the play button). I strum along on both the guitar and the ukulele. I have also attempted the harmonica, with failure. Some things are really hard to self-teach, if you've got no understanding of what you should really be sounding like.

So - tell me about you. I'm sure you've heard enough about me!

As a quick suggestion, I highly recommend article distribution as an effective form of promotion.

Article distribution consists of writing an article and distributing it through ezines, article directories, blogs or possibly related newsletters, with an Author Bio (deep)linking to your website.

To make this process easier, I generally distribute articles using iSnare's article distribution service. There are other services out there that offer the same sort of thing. iSnare isn't performing as well as it used to.

All of the services that I have used seem to have pretty great restrictions/guidelines. The only rule that annoys me at iSnare is that all articles have to be at least 500 words long - no exceptions.

I would be interested in hearing your experiences with other similar services.

I've currently got two computers.

The first (Oz-bar11 and I built) is dual-booting into Windows XP and Linux Ubuntu. It has a 2.66GHz Core2Quad CPU (overclocked by 10%, with sufficient cooling), 4GB RAM and a minimal 250GB IDE HDD (I really need to do something about that...), chucked together on a G41 Asus motherboard, powered by a 460W Cooler Master PSU.

The second is dual-booting into Windows Vista Home Premium and Linux Ubuntu. It has a 2.2GHz Phenom Quad CPU, 4GB RAM and a 500GB HDD. I dislike how this computer runs - I didn't build it, and am therefore unable to open the case, let alone uninstall Vista, or even install any other Windows OS without voiding my warranty.

What are you running? Are you satisfied with the experience that your computer offers you?

The Tech Noxx Windows Updater is a library of Windows XP updates, which can be executed with a single batch file. This will dramatically decrease time spent installing Windows updates. If you've got multiple computers running Windows XP, this application is particularly handy, as you will not be required to download all 56 Windows updates on every single computer. Once you've got this application, you don't even need internet access.

Download here.

Installation Instructions

Download and extract the contents of "windows-updater.zip."

Run "Tech Noxx Windows Updater.bat."

Continue working, until prompted with a warning that will inform you that you have 2 minutes before your computer will be restarted. In the dire situation that you may need to abort this from happening, press Win+R, type "shutdown -a" and press Enter.

Simple, huh? Let me know if you've got any questions.
As encouragement for activity, the discussion boards will remain ad-free for at least the next three months. We sincerely look forward to your involvement.
